  • Defibrillators - Information Requested

The University of Connecticut has formed a committee to outfit all academic university campus buildings with Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and bleeding control kits. In the future, additional locations are being considered.  To make sure the equipment is properly placed, we are asking for your assistance in determining which buildings currently have publicly accessible AEDs.  AEDs are likely found in stairwells, lobby entrances, hallways, and would be mounted in a cabinet on the wall.  If you know of any AED locations, please email UConn Firefighter Ben Roper at Benjamin.roper@uconn.edu.  In your email, please indicate where the AED is specifically located and if known, the date purchased and who is currently responsible for it.

Note: Most AED cabinets are alarmed, unless an emergency, use caution opening or request assistance.
