    DREAM LOGIC

    A multimedia exhibition

    On view June 7 - August 19, 2018 Thursday - Sunday, 12-4PM

Presented in UConn Avery Point’s Alexey von Schlippe Gallery, The Branford House

UConn Avery Point & UConn School of Fine Arts are pleased to present Dream Logic, a multimedia exhibition featuring new work by UConn MFA in Studio Art students and recent graduates.

Dream Logic is a group exhibition that investigates the non-linear, associative quality of dreaming and its parallels to the art making process. Often connecting or juxtaposing disparate subjects and materials, the work occupies a series of in-betweens. The exhibition’s 14 artists, all current or recent UConn MFAs, operate in a spectrum of media. Through their work, they address multiplicity, ritual, climate change, technology, the mutability of narrative, and the human condition. The exhibition gives space to the integration embedded in the act of making, wherein research, technique, intuition, and surprise commingle to produce meaning. Collectively, Dream Logic offers a series of experiences threaded together, much like waking from a dream.

Dream Logic features new work by Jeanne Ciravolo, Elizabeth Ellenwood, Shadia Heenan, Melanie Klimjack, Kelsey Miller, Jelena Prljević, Kaleigh Rusgrove, Luke Seward, Erin Koch Smith, River Soma, Claire Stankus, Jordan Thuman, Chad Uehlein &Ting Zhou

The exhibition is curated by Olivia Baldwin.
