  • 4/25 Crisis in Puerto Rico Talk: Blanca Ortiz-Torres

    "If Maria strikes again...lessons learned working with affected communities," a talk by Blanca Ortiz-Torres, Ph.D., JD, Caedrática Universidad de Puerto Rico - Secretaria General Sociedad Interamericana de Psicología.

     

    Wednesday, April 25, 2:30-4:00, PRLACC, Student Union, 4th floor.

     

    Professor Ortiz-Torres has a Ph.D. in Community Psychology from New York University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Puerto Rico. She has held several research and teaching positions in Puerto Rico and New York. Her research interests include gender, sexuality, community empowerment the development of structural interventions to prevent HIV in various groups, and public policy. She also does research in areas such as community activation, citizen participation and development of community capital.

     

    This talk is the fifth in a series of events focused on the on-going crisis in Puerto Rico. All are welcome.
