Want to help fight the stigma surrounding mental health issues? Interested in learning the fundamentals of Mental Health First Aid? Come join us for a mental health forum on Saturday, April 28 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Storrs Congregational Church UCC.
The forum will:
- Explore various aspects of our mental health journey through talks and activities offered by specialists
- Offer practical tools and approaches for lightening the loads of those living with all types of issues on the mental health spectrum
- Feature guest speakers from the United Church of Christ Mental Health Network and the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)
- Outline the steps churches can take to become more supportive of those living with mental health issues
