  • Call for Volunteers: Disability Awareness Videos

The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning and the Center for Students with Disabilities have been awarded a mini-grant to create and produce a series of disability awareness videos. The videos will provide information on:

    • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD),
    • Anxiety and Depression
    • Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and
    • Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI)/Concussions.

The most important part of the videos is to include interviews with students, staff, and faculty who identify with any of these disabilities and would like to share their perspective on their experiences in the classroom, strategies that have helped them along the way, and other information regarding identifying as a person with a disability. The video will also contain general information about these disabilities and how to best accommodate all learners.

We are seeking student, staff, and faculty volunteers to contribute to this project. If you’d like to learn more about how to get involved or about the project in general, please contact Emily Tarconish (emily.tarconish@uconn.edu) or Morgan Sutton (morgan.sutton@uconn.edu).
