  • 4/11 "Art Fights" - A Talk by Professor Manu Chander

    Manu Samriti Chander is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English at Rutgers University, Newark. He received his MFA from the University of Michigan, where he was awarded the Academy of American Poets Prize, and his PhD from Brown University. His first monograph, Brown Romantics: Poetry and Nationalism in the Global Nineteenth Century, has just been published by Bucknell University Press. 

    Professor Chander will be giving a lecture from his current project on aesthetic controversy and the lessons of modernity, which features a transnational and transhistorical array of writers and creators from William Wordsworth through Vladimir Nabokov to Stanley Kubrick. 
     
    This event is sponsored by the Department of English, the English Graduate Student Association, and the Graduate Student Senate. Refreshments will be provided.
