Borderlands: A Critical Graduate Symposium 2018 Theme: “Cartographies of the Body: Subversions. Surveillance. Crossings.”

Please join us on March 30th & 31st, 2018 at the 3rd annual Borderlands graduate symposium at University of Connecticut (Storrs). A wide range of perspectives on bodies, subjectivity, identity, and inequality will be featured throughout the two-day conference. Dr. Danielle Roper (University of Chicago) will give a keynote lecture entitled “Impersonating la Negrita: Afrocolombian Women in Blackface” on Saturday, March 31st, 2018 at 1:00pm in Laurel Hall. Lunch on both days, along with breakfast on Saturday will be available on a first-come, first serve basis.
