Since the Town of Mansfield and UConn formed the Mansfield Downtown Partnership in 2001, the Partnership has been focused on redeveloping and revitalizing the downtown district south of the UConn campus, which has been referred to by a variety of names over the years. Going forward, the area from UConn School of Fine Arts south to the Liberty Bank building and from the Mansfield Community Center east to Whetten Woods will be called simply “Downtown Storrs.”
To make it easier for UConn community members, visitors, and residents to plan their trips to Downtown Storrs, the Partnership has launched a new website, downtownstorrs.org.
This new website features an event calendar, business directory, and other helpful information for residents and visitors alike.
If your department, program, or office is hosting an event or welcoming visitors, the Mansfield Downtown Partnership is happy to provide information for your guests about Downtown Storrs and all the great amenities within walking distance of campus.
